PRIVACY IN THE WILDERNESS
What the beta records
Wayfarers Wilderness keeps the minimum account, security, moderation, and operational information needed to run a persistent multiplayer game.
Account and session data
Account records include a character name, password verifier, optional email, verification state, recovery state, and active session records. Passwords, recovery codes, and session tokens must never be shared with administrators or other players.
Security and gameplay operations
The service records login time, login surface, network address, session activity, moderation actions, and bounded technical diagnostics. Administrators use this information for account security, abuse response, troubleshooting, and service health.
Cookies
First-party session cookies keep website and game logins separate. The public site does not use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral analytics.
Retention and access
Operational records are retained only for bounded security and troubleshooting periods. Access is restricted to authenticated administrators. Public rankings expose character names and progression, not account email or session details.
Your choices
Email is optional. Without email, account recovery requires the private recovery code shown at registration. For questions about account data, use the support guide and the project community contact.
